We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to prepare high-quality Indian cuisine. The successful candidate will bring creativity, strong culinary skills, and a commitment to delivering authentic dining experiences.

Task & responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare and cook high-quality Indian dishes in line with Beyond India’s menu and standards.
  • Assist in developing innovative menus using traditional and contemporary cooking techniques.
  • Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, portioning and quality of all dishes.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking and service.
  • Lead, train and support kitchen staff to maintain efficient workflow and high standards.
  • Monitor food safety, hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with local regulations.
  • Manage stock levels, ingredient quality, ordering and kitchen waste control.
  • Work with suppliers to source quality ingredients at competitive prices.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated with culinary trends and contribute new ideas, flavours and presentation techniques.

Qualification & experience

  • Minimum one year of proven experience as a Chef specialising in Indian cuisine, preferably in a high-volume restaurant environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of Indian spices, cooking techniques, ingredients, and regional culinary variations.
  • Demonstrated creativity, culinary flair, and passion for developing high-quality and innovative dishes.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, guide, and support kitchen staff.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills.
  • Relevant formal qualifications, such as Certificate III/ Certificate IV/Diploma in Commercial Cookery/ Kitchen Management/ Hospitality Management.
