$75,000 - $82,500 Annual

Full-time Bar Attendant (Supervisor) role based at Darwin Golf Club, responsible for supervising daily bar and gaming operations, leading and supporting bar staff, delivering high-quality customer service, managing cash handling and POS procedures, assisting with stock control and ensuring compliance with RSA, gaming and club policies. 

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a club, hotel or licensed venue, prior supervisory or senior bar/gaming experience, strong communication and leadership skills, current RSA and RSG certification, a current NT Machine Managers Licence, and the ability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Task & responsibilities

  • Supervise daily bar and gaming operations during rostered shifts
  • Lead, mentor and support bar and gaming staff to maintain high service standards
  • Provide professional and efficient customer service to members and guests
  • Ensure compliance with RSA requirements, gaming regulations and club policies
  • Manage cash handling, EFTPOS and point-of-sale (POS) procedures
  • Assist with stock ordering, stock rotation and inventory control
  • Handle customer enquiries, complaints and service issues professionally
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety and presentation standards across bar and gaming areas
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures of the venue
  • Monitor staff performance and support day-to-day operational requirements
  • Ensure responsible service of alcohol and responsible gaming practices are followed at all times

Qualification & experience

  • Previous experience working in a club, hotel, bar or licensed hospitality venue
  • Prior experience in a supervisory, senior bar attendant or gaming attendant role
  • Sound knowledge of bar operations, gaming operations and customer service standards
  • Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
  • Current Responsible Service of Gambling (RSG) certificate (NT or transferable)
  • Current NT Machine Managers Licence
  • Strong communication, leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment
  • Reliable, professional and customer-focused approach
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
  • Experience with cash handling and POS systems preferred
  • Good organisational and problem-solving skills
