As a Chef at Amritsari Sweets & Snacks, you will be responsible for the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality dishes in line with our menu standards. You will play a key role in menu planning, kitchen operations, food safety compliance, and maintaining consistent quality across all services.

Task & responsibilities

• Planning and developing menus in consultation with management
• Estimating food and labour costs and ordering food supplies
• Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to a high standard
• Monitoring food quality at all stages of preparation and presentation
• Demonstrating cooking techniques and advising on cooking procedures
• Discussing food preparation issues with managers and front-of-house staff
• Ensuring strict compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
• Training and supervising kitchen staff as required
• Selecting, freezing, and preserving food where appropriate
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment

Qualification & experience

• Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery or a related field
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience as a Chef
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Excellent time management and teamwork skills
