$75,000 - $80,000 Annual

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to menu development.


Benefits

Salary: $75,000 – $80,000 per annum plus superannuation (commensurate with experience)


Task & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and cooking a wide range of meals in accordance with Café 63 standards
  • Assisting the head chef with menu preparation and daily kitchen operations
  • Ensuring consistent presentation and portion control
  • Supervising kitchen operations during service periods
  • Assisting with menu planning and seasonal updates
  • Monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies as required
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and WHS regulations
  • Training and supervising kitchen staff where required

Qualification & experience

Skills & Experience Required

  • Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery (Certificate III or IV or equivalent)
  • 1-2 years’ relevant work experience as a Chef
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment
  • Excellent time management and teamwork skills
