We are seeking an experienced and qualified Chef to oversee kitchen operations and ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation. The Chef will plan menus, supervise kitchen staff, manage stock, and maintain compliance with food safety regulations.

Task & responsibilities

•    Planning menus and estimating food and labour costs

•    Preparing and cooking dishes to a consistently high standard

•    Supervising and training kitchen staff

•    Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation

•    Managing inventory, ordering supplies and controlling waste

•    Ensuring compliance with food safety and WHS regulations

•    Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen


Qualification & experience

•     Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, Diploma, Advanced Diploma or associate degree.

•    Minimum 1-2 years relevant work experience

•    Strong leadership and team management skills

•    Sound knowledge of food safety standards

•    Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
