Job Description: 

Café 63 Castletown is seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook to join its vibrant team. The role involves preparing and cooking a variety of dishes from our diverse menu, ensuring all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, freshness, and presentation. The Cook will maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment, work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams, and adhere to all food safety and health regulations. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, along with a passion for creating delicious, fresh, and visually appealing meals. Task & responsibilities

• Examine food and stocks to ensure quality and freshnes
• Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment
• Prepare and cook food using appropriate methods
• Portion food and arrange it attractively on plates
• Add gravies, sauces, and garnishes to prepared dishes
• Store food in temperature-controlled facilities to maintain safety and quality
• Prepare food to meet special dietary requirements (e.g., allergies, religious needs)
• May assist in planning menus and estimating food requirements
• May train and supervise other kitchen staff and apprentices
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards of the kitchen

Qualification & experience

• Minimum certificate IV  in commercial cookery or relevant work experience.
• Minimum 1 years of experience in a related position.
• Strong  leadership  and  communication  skills  to  manage  and  motivate  the  team. 
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
