Task & responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and serve a variety of dishes in accordance with our menu standards.
  • Ensure food preparation, presentation, and service consistently meet quality expectations.
  • Assist with inventory control and stock ordering.
  • Monitor and record temperatures of food items and storage areas to ensure food safety compliance.
  • Handle and store all food items properly and safely.
  • Create nutritious and innovative meals using seasonal ingredients.
  • Support the training and development of kitchen hands.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
  • Keep a clean, safe, and well-organised work environment.
  • Assist chefs in the creation and planning of recipes and menus.

Qualification & experience

  • Completed Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or higher education in the culinary field 
  • Have at least one year of work experience 
  • Strong understanding of food safety principles 
  • Excellent knife skills, cooking techniques, and ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Be both punctual and reliable
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
