Work Type: Full-Time (38 hours per week)

About the Role

The Pizza Hotspot Corio is a well-established local favourite known for authentic Food and service. As we expand our Menu, We are looking for a passionate, experienced Chef to join our team. You will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations, maintaining high culinary standards, and ensuring a seamless service during peak periods.

Key Responsibilities

Menu & Recipe Development: Plan and refine menus, as we plan to expand our menu in addition to our signature pizza ranges, pastas, and specialized parmas.

Kitchen Management: Estimate food requirements, manage stock levels, and place orders with suppliers.

Food Preparation & Quality Control: Supervise the preparation and cooking of food to ensure consistent taste, texture, and presentation.

Staff Training: Oversee and train kitchen staff in food safety, hygiene, and techniques.

Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations (HACCP).

Station Management: Manage the high-volume kitchen stations effectively.

Selection Criteria

Qualifications: A Diploma in Hospitality Management preferred.

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in a commercial kitchen environment (experience in an Italian restaurant is highly regarded).

Skills: Strong knowledge of food preparation, Communication, temperature control, and kitchen leadership.

Attributes: Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and a commitment to food excellence.
