The Role

Century Yuasa is seeking an experienced hands-on person to support our operations in Carole Park. Reporting to the EHS Manager, the overall purpose of the role is to undertake maintaining and improving environmental and safety outcomes for workers, including improving WHS and Environmental performance, reducing risk by lifting WHS & Environmental competency at manager, supervisor & workforce levels.

In this role, you will play a key part in promoting WHS and environmental compliance across the business, including Manufacturing. You will coordinate training, lead risk assessments, conduct audit.

Essential to this role is maintaining certification to ISO AS/NZS 14001 Environmental Management System and the ISO AS/NZS 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System.


About you

  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or similar Qualification (Will consider the right candidate who is currently studying towards)

  • Internal auditing qualifications (Or willingness to obtain with first 12 months of employment)

  • Previous experience in Manufacturing or Factory environment

  • Strong communication with internal and external stakeholders

  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office)

  • Familiarity with ETQ, Noggin, and ISO standards

  • Ability to lead meetings, Investigate incidents, present training, and drive safety culture
