ABOUT BASK

Bask Early Learning is a family-owned and operated provider with centres in Logan, Ipswich and Toowoomba. We exist to raise the standard of early childhood education and care in Queensland. Our BASKeteers are the people who make that real, every day, in every classroom.

THE ROLE

  • Position: Educator

  • Location: Bask Ellen Grove

  • Type: Permanent Part Time

  • Reports to: Room Leader, Educational Leader and Centre Manager

You’ll work alongside a team of passionate educators to deliver play-based learning for children from 6 weeks to 6 years. You’ll build relationships with children and families, contribute to documentation and program planning, and help create classrooms where children feel safe, seen, and ready to explore. As part of the foundation team, you’ll help shape the culture and practice of a brand-new centre from the beginning.

YOUR IMPACT

  • Deliver play-based learning aligned with EYLF, QKLG, and NQF

  • Build genuine relationships with children and families

  • Contribute to program planning, documentation, and reflection

  • Use OWNA and Storypark to capture learning moments and communicate with families

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment

  • Support Exceeding NQS practice across all seven quality areas

  • Help build the culture of a brand-new centre from the ground up

THE CENTRE

Ellen Grove is a 120 place centre, architecturally designed, with 7 classrooms catering for children from 6 weeks to 6 years. Ratios sit at 1:4 for under threes and 1:8 for over threes, both below regulatory minimums. The outdoor playscape was designed by WEARTHY. Inside, the Family Lounge has fresh bakery items, a breakfast bar, and complimentary tea and coffee for educators and families.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • ACECQA-approved Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or actively working towards)

  • Working knowledge of EYLF, QKLG, and NQF

  • Experience in a long day care or similar setting

  • Strong communication and time management

  • Current Queensland Blue Card

  • Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma training (or willing to obtain)

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with project-based or inquiry-driven practice

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive) and Penelope QIP
