We are seeking multiple Cyber Security Specialists across multiple streams to contribute to the development of scalable, modern, and high-performing cyber practices. You will support and uplift organisational capability by providing expertise in risk management, compliance, operations, monitoring, incident response, program assurance, and strategic advisory functions.

You must be able to work in the Canberra office at least 3 days per week.
 
Key duties and responsibilities

  • Provide strategic cyber security advice to a wide range of stakeholders including executives and boards, translating complex technical risks into clear business strategies. 
  • Ensure security practices and procedures maintain alignment with frameworks including ISM, PSPF, ACSC Essential Eight and NIST. 
  • Identify, test, and assess applicable security controls in line with the Australian Government Information Security Manual and agency policies and guidelines. 
  • Develop, review, and maintain accreditation and compliance documentation (e.g.SIA, SRA, SOA, SSP, SRMP, IRP, PIA). 
  • Provide actionable risk treatment recommendations to executives and stakeholders to reduce organisational exposure. 
  • Contribute to independent assurance reviews of security programs, reporting findings to senior stakeholders. 
  • Contribute to cyber security system accreditation programs and ICT projects by developing and reviewing security artifacts. 
  • Understanding of Federal Gateway, Google Cloud Platform, Azure Cloud Environments and control inheritance accreditation models as they apply to services such as IaaS, PaaS, SaaS.  
The Musy Haves:
  • Proven extensive experience with risk and information security frameworks, policies, and standards, including Australian Cyber Security Centre's Information Security Manual, The Protective Security Policy Framework and international standards (ISO27001/2).  
  • Strong understanding of accreditation and assurance requirements. Demonstrated experience in security threat and risk assessments and the development of security accreditation artifacts.    
  • Demonstrated security experience within complex ICT environments including an understanding of global cyber security trends, attack vectors and techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for preparing and presenting high-quality risk and compliance documentation or concepts. 
You MUST be an Australian Citizen and hold a minimum of an NV1 Security Clearance to be considered for this role.
