Medical Receptionist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Medical Receptionist to join our dynamic team at the Richmond Marketplace Medical Centre in Richmond, NSW. This is a casual role, offering at least 3 shifts per week, including afternoon shifts. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth running of our medical practice.

What you'll be doing

• Warmly greeting and welcoming patients, both in person and on the telephone

• Efficiently managing patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations

• Handling patient inquiries and providing information about our services

• Processing patient registrations, updating medical records, billing and maintaining confidentiality

• Assisting with the coordination of various medical services and procedures

• Providing administrative support to the medical team as required

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar customer service role within a healthcare setting

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients and colleagues in a professional and empathetic manner

• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively

• Proficiency in using medical practice management software and standard office software (Best Practice) an advantage

• A commitment to providing high-quality patient care

• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently as required
