Pharmacy Technician

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our busy retail pharmacy. In this role, you will support our ‘pharmacist team’ by preparing and dispensing medications, managing stock, and delivering excellent customer service to our community of shoppers and regular patients.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and is passionate about helping people access their medications safely and efficiently.

Task & responsibilities

Fill and label prescriptions accurately and efficiently 

Prepare medications for dispensing, including counting, pouring, and packaging 

Record prescription details in the pharmacy management system 

Place orders for medications and medical supplies from wholesalers 

Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management 

Store medications correctly, ensuring compliance with safety and storage regulations 

Prepare medications for delivery or collection by patients 

Assist customers with over-the-counter product inquiries 

Maintain a clean and organized dispensary and retail area 

Process invoices and paperwork related to stock and prescriptions

Qualification & experience

• Tertiary qualification in field of pharmacy is mandatory.
• Knowledge of dispensing software (e.g., Fred, Minfos, Z Dispense) 
• Experience in My Script and Med advisor
• Understanding of PBS (Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme) processes and National Medicine Policies
• Fluent in English
• At least 2 years experience in retail setting (desirable)
