Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Veterinary Nurse to support veterinarians in the delivery of clinical care, surgical procedures, and animal management. The role requires strong technical capability, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment. Social Media experience would be an asset.

Task & responsibilities

• Assisting veterinarians with examination, treatment, and surgical procedures
• Preparing animals for surgery, including catheterisation, blood draws, cleaning and sterilising operative areas
• Monitoring animals (and  Birds)  pre- and post-operatively and reporting changes in condition
• Administering medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
• Maintaining, cleaning, and sterilising surgical instruments and equipment
• Conducting routine laboratory tests, including blood, urine, and faecal analysis
• Handling and restraining animals (and  Birds)  safely for examination and procedures
• Maintaining accurate clinical records and treatment histories
• Providing advice to clients on animal care, nutrition, and post-treatment care
• Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety and infection control procedures
• Helping with the Social Media Platforms 

Qualification & experience

• Relevant Qualifications Plus At least 2 years of relevant clinical experience
