As an Aged or Disabled Carer, you will play a crucial role in delivering compassionate, person-centred support to elderly and disabled participants across South Australia. Working within the framework of Yes We Care Community Services a registered NDIS provider you will empower clients to live independently, maintain their dignity, and actively participate in community life. You will collaborate closely with a dedicated and experienced team, contributing to care plans tailored to each individual's goals, needs, and preferences. Task & responsibilities

Personal Care:- Assisting clients with personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming to maintain dignity and comfort.

Medication Management :- Administering medications and ensuring compliance with prescribed treatments and care plans.

Daily Living Assistance :- Helping with household chores, meal preparation, and shopping to support independent living.

Mobility Support :- Assisting with mobility and transportation to appointments and social activities.

Emotional Support :- Providing companionship, engaging in meaningful activities, and fostering emotional well-being.

Health Monitoring :- Observing and reporting any changes in clients' health or behaviour to relevant team members.

Documentation :- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of care provided and clients' progress.


Qualification & experience

  • Certificate III/IV higher qualifications in Individual Support (Aged Care or Disability) or equivalent.
  • Experience: 12 months of work experience with at least 20 hours per week relevant work experience in disability support, aged care or similar roles preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License , First Aid and CPR certification, police check and Working with Children Check / DHS – DCSI – Disability Employment Screening Clearance / NDIS Worker Check or willing to complete when requested. 
  • Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident are encouraged to apply 
  • Excellent organization and team management skills.
  • Ability to work and blend in a team.
  • Adhere to industrial compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassionate, patient, reliable, and respectful.
