Role Description

We are seeking a Medical Receptionist to support our growing team at MTP Health. If you are someone who enjoys working with people, have excellent attention to detail, and want to be part of a dynamic workplace, we would love to hear from you! MTP Health is made up of a team of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Physios, and Exercise Physiologists. The successful candidate will be responsible for administrative support for both our Orthopaedic Group and Allied Health team. Dependent on experience and capability the role may consist of a mixture of front of house, customer support and surgical administration tasks.

Established in 2013, MTP Health is a truly integrated multidisciplinary practice incorporating Orthopaedic surgeons, Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology. We are bridging the gap between medicine and exercise by providing full spectrum empowering health care and support from rehabilitation to performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing patient enquiries via phone and email
• Providing administrative support for surgeons and Allied Health practitioners
• Booking appointments and surgical procedures
• Invoicing and receipting of consultations and procedures
• Managing financial consent, quotations and debt recovery
• Processing Medicare and Eclipse accounts
• Liaising with Health Funds and Work Cover insurers
• Preparing specialists’ rooms for consultation days
• Coordinating surgical schedules

Requirements

• Experience in an allied health reception or medical secretarial role
• Knowledge of allied health and/or Medical Terminology
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
• Experience with Nookal (highly desirable)
• Experience with Gentu (highly desirable)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
