Amuri Creek Fruit Pty Ltd is seeking a motivated and experienced Fruit Farm Supervisor to support the day-to-day supervision of strawberry production at our commercial fruit farming operation in the Mount Barker region of Western Australia.

This role is responsible for supervising farm workers and coordinating operational activities associated with strawberry crop production, including planting, irrigation, crop maintenance and harvesting. The Fruit Farm Supervisor will work closely with farm management to ensure tasks are completed efficiently, crop quality standards are maintained and seasonal production targets are achieved.

This is a practical, hands-on role suited to someone with strong horticultural experience and the ability to lead teams of seasonal workers during peak production periods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate farm workers engaged in planting, crop maintenance, harvesting and packing activities
  • Monitor crop growth and assist with irrigation, fertilisation and pest and disease control programs
  • Ensure horticultural tasks such as planting, pruning, mulching, irrigation and harvesting are completed according to farm schedules
  • Provide guidance and training to seasonal workers to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently
  • Monitor fruit quality and report crop conditions to farm management
  • Assist with the operation and basic maintenance of horticultural machinery, equipment and irrigation systems
  • Maintain accurate records relating to crop production activities, spray applications and harvesting volumes
  • Ensure workplace health and safety procedures are followed by all workers
  • Assist with organising labour and daily work plans during peak production periods
  • Assist with the day-to-day care and management of sheep grazing areas of the property, including monitoring stock, water and fencing as required
  • Contribute to general farm maintenance and upkeep of equipment and infrastructure

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in horticulture, fruit growing or commercial farm operations
  • Demonstrated experience supervising or coordinating farm workers in a horticultural production environment
  • Knowledge of irrigation systems, crop maintenance and pest and disease management practices
  • Ability to operate horticultural machinery and farm equipment
  • Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to lead small teams
  • Experience working in berry or fruit production will be highly regarded
  • Some practical experience working with sheep or mixed farming environments will be considered advantageous
