About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated Electrical Draftee with experience using AutoCAD to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing detailed electrical design drawings, based on engineering designs for switchboards and control systems. You'll play a key role in ensuring all documentation is accurate, up to date, and ready for manufacturing and installation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed electrical design drawings from engineered primary drawings, including switchboards and control schematics.

  • Update drawings based on redline markups and as-built changes.

  • Work closely with the Design Manager, Electrical Engineers, Workshop Electricians, and Installation teams to ensure accuracy and alignment across all project stages.

  • Ensure all drafting work complies with company, client and project standards and specifications.

  • Manage revisions and version control of drawings throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Support continuous improvement in drafting practices and project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (electrical drafting experience essential).

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of AutoCAD electrical drafting experience required.

  • Understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and switchboard layouts.

  • Practical application experience with electrical systems and schematics required.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Previous experience working in a workshop or construction environment (advantageous).

  • Relevant qualification in Electrical Drafting or Engineering (preferred but not essential).

  • Australian Drivers License

  • Must be an Australian Citizen
