Who can apply

• Current university students in Australia who:
  • Need work experience in engineering
  • Need an internship that gives you academic credit
  • Are international or domestic engineering students in Australia
• New graduates who:
  • Want degree-relevant work experience to develop skills
  • Want experience in a local Australian workplace
  • Can do an accredited Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program and combine it with a placement

Host companies and internship tasks and experiences

The 12-week Electrical Engineering Internship Program will be matched with your internship needs, including start date, duration and location. Some of the host companies include:

• An energy provider working on smart grid technologies
• An electronics manufacturer focused on industrial applications
• A company developing charging systems for electric vehicles

Depending on the host company, your internship could include any of the following types of tasks and experiences:

• Designing or reviewing electrical schematics
• Supporting PLC programming or control system testing
• Contributing to data analysis, safety checks and system reports
• Assisting with product testing and quality assurance
• Preparing documentation for project teams or clients
