Our esteemed client, Easy Concrete Solutions, is a concrete testing company located in Yarraville, Victoria, performing various tests like slump testing, pressure testing, aged testing, and sampling. Whether a residential slab, commercial build, civil works, or infrastructure project, they tailor testing programs to suit the scope and risk level of clients.

The business is looking for an experienced Civil Engineering Technician (Tester) to join their team. The candidate will be responsible for testing building materials and performing various tests related to civil engineering works. The Civil Engineering Technician (Tester) will have the opportunity to work in a truly dynamic team with the chance to display skills and work with some of the top professionals in the field.

The annual salary for a Civil Engineering Technician (Tester) is $80,000 to $90,000 plus superannuation.

Responsibilities:

• Collection and evaluation of data, as well as doing computations to ensure the requirements of the given projects.

• Carrying out field and laboratory testing of construction materials, including concrete and soil sampling, slump testing, and strength assessments to confirm compliance with engineering standards.

• Testing and evaluating construction materials.

• Estimating service costs required on ongoing and upcoming projects.

• Inspecting and reporting on work progress on various projects to affirm that the work was accomplished without compromising the standards.

• Conducting inspections to verify compliance with engineering standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations surrounding the concrete testing.

Qualifications:

• Should hold at least a Diploma or Advanced Diploma.

• Must have a minimum of one to two (1-2) years of experience as a Civil Engineer Technician.

• Experience and knowledge in performing various concrete tests.

• Good communication skills.

• Must have Technical Proficiency to work with software like Vectorworks.
