About the Role
We are currently looking for Electricians that want to build a lucrative career in the mining industry and secure a role with our northern based operation – Mandalong Mine.
Conveniently located in the Lake Macquarie region, a short drive from Newcastle and the Central Coast, this role is an excellent opportunity to work in a underground based mining operation.
This key operational role presents the opportunity for qualified and committed personnel to contribute directly to the success of Mandalong’s mining operations and open the door to a secure future.
Reporting to the Electrical Engineering Manager, your responsibilities will include
• Maintenance and repairs of underground equipment and machinery
• Installation and commissioning of new equipment and electrical plant on site
• Above ground maintenance activities as required

Suitable candidates will have
• The requirement for nomination to exercise the statutory function is that the individual nominated must:
(a) have a supervisor certificate that authorises the doing of electrical wiring work, or
(b) have a proficiency certificate (issued by State Training Services) in an electrical trade, or
(c) have been continuously employed as an electrical tradesperson at a coal mine since 21 December 2004.
