STORE MANAGER - BUILDING MAINTENANCE INDUSTRY

McPeake Facility Services is a long established and rapidly growing building maintenance company, servicing large government and commercial contracts across Victoria. We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Store Manager to join our team in West Melbourne.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced maintenance environment and can confidently manage store operations, stock control and dispatch coordination while supporting multiple trades and supervisors daily.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently and taking ownership of their role. The successful applicant will largely work autonomously and will ultimately have the opportunity to run the store operation as their own with minimal supervision.

About the Role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our warehouse and store operations, ensuring materials, equipment and stock are accurately controlled and efficiently dispatched to field staff and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing daily store and warehouse operations

  • Stock control, ordering and inventory management

  • Dispatching materials and equipment to trades and supervisors

  • Data entry and maintaining accurate records

  • Running and analysing reports

  • Receiving deliveries and checking stock levels

  • Managing tools, equipment and consumables

  • Liaising with suppliers and internal departments

  • Assisting with fleet, warehouse and operational coordination

  • Maintaining a clean, organised and compliant warehouse environment

  • General duties associated with a busy building maintenance operation

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Previous experience in a Store person, Warehouse or Store Manager role

  • Strong computer and data entry skills

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills

  • High attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative

  • Experience within building maintenance, construction or trades industry highly regarded

  • Forklift licence advantageous but not essential

  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
