Mechanical Engineer

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving mechanical systems and equipment used in industrial processing and grain handling operations.

Task & responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical equipment, systems, and components for industrial and agricultural processing operations
• Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
• Conduct testing, analysis, and evaluation of machinery and equipment performance
• Assist with installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities
• Work closely with fabrication, production, and project teams to ensure engineering standards and project timelines are achieved
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reliability, and safety
• Ensure compliance with Australian standards, workplace health and safety requirements, and quality assurance procedure
• Carrying out inspections to ensure optimum performance is maintained
• Provide technical support to clients and internal stakeholders

Qualification & experience

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design, fabrication, and industrial equipment
• Experience using engineering software and CAD systems
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
