Task & responsibilities

• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in motor vehicles
• Performing routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs
• Repairing and replacing defective vehicle parts and components
• Conducting inspections and test drives to ensure vehicle safety and performance
• Using diagnostic tools and workshop equipment effectively
• Maintaining accurate service and repair records
• Ensuring compliance with workplace health & safety regulations
• Assisting with workshop operations and mentoring apprentices where required

Qualification & experience

• Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience as a Motor Mechanic
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems and mechanical components
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
