4 Ways Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineering Technician to support the installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment, automated systems, and control components used in production and operational processes.

The role focuses on industrial automation, control systems, and electrical equipment maintenance, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance of machinery. The position aligns with candidates who have strong foundations in automation, PLC systems, electrical circuits, and industrial control technologies.

Task & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

The Electrical Engineering Technician will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and commissioning of electrical systems, machinery, and automated production equipment 
  • Perform routine inspection, testing, and preventative maintenance of electrical components, control systems, and machinery 
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs of electrical systems, including motors, sensors, control panels, and wiring systems 
  • Support the operation and troubleshooting of PLC-based control systems and SCADA systems used in production processes 
  • Conduct testing and calibration of electrical and electronic equipment to ensure compliance with operational and safety standards 
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and system diagrams 
  • Assist engineers in design modifications, system upgrades, and optimisation of automation processes 
  • Monitor system performance and collect operational data to identify inefficiencies or potential failures 
  • Support the implementation of process control improvements and automation enhancements 
  • Ensure all work complies with Australian safety standards and electrical regulations 
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, maintenance records, and fault reports 
  • Liaise with internal teams and external contractors to support equipment installation and maintenance activities 

Qualification & experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation & Control Engineering, or a closely related field 
  • Relevant practical or industry experience in electrical or automation systems 

Key Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of electrical systems, control systems, and industrial automation 
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical faults and system malfunctions 
  • Understanding of electrical machines, circuits, and industrial equipment 
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities 
  • Proficiency in speaking Vietnamese will be an advantage.
