We are currently seeking a motivated and technically capable Engineering Technologist to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful applicant will support the planning, coordination, analysis, and implementation of concrete and civil construction projects while ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and project specifications.

Task & responsibilities

Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of concrete pumping, civil, and residential/commercial construction projects

Conduct site set-out and site cut assessments to support construction preparation and ensure compliance with project specifications and engineering requirements

Perform mesh calculations and reinforcement quantity assessments for concrete slabs, foundations, and structural concrete works

Analyse engineering drawings, project specifications, and technical documentation to support project delivery and construction activities

Monitor and supervise construction processes to ensure works are completed according to approved drawings, engineering principles, and Australian Standards

Carry out quality control inspections during and after project completion to ensure workmanship, structural integrity, and compliance with required specifications

Inspect and verify the quality, grade, dimensions, and suitability of concrete materials prior to pouring and during construction operations

Assist in testing and verification procedures for concrete strength, curing, finishing, and structural performance

Liaise with Project Managers, site supervisors, contractors, and suppliers regarding project budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and quality control measures

Identify and resolve technical and operational issues arising during construction activities and recommend practical engineering solutions

Prepare technical reports, site documentation, progress reports, and compliance records for ongoing projects

Ensure all construction and engineering activities comply with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements, relevant Australian Standards, and construction regulations

Use engineering and construction software including AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Civil 3D, and project management tools for design analysis, modelling, estimation, and project documentation

Evaluate construction methodologies, materials, and operational procedures to improve project efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness

Coordinate with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to support successful project delivery within deadlines and budget requirements

Maintain accurate project records, engineering data, material usage reports, and construction schedules

Support continuous improvement initiatives by reviewing engineering procedures, construction practices, and quality assurance systems

Qualification & experience

* Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Engineering or a closely related field

* Minimum 1 year of relevant experience as an Engineering Technologist or in a related construction engineering role

* Knowledge of concrete construction, civil works, and construction methodologies

* Ability to interpret engineering drawings, plans, and technical specifications

* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills

* Good communication and teamwork abilities

* Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment and manage competing priorities

* Understanding of Australian construction standards and WHS regulations

* Experience with construction-related software and Microsoft Office applications will be advantageous
