$80,000 - $95,000 Annual

THE ROLE

MAK Water are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineering Technician to join the Manufacturing team. The role is a permanent full time position, predominantly working Monday to Friday.

Reporting to the Mechanical Lead, core duties include:

Fabricate and assemble high-quality water treatment plants using a variety of tools, machinery, and processes

Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications to ensure accurate builds

Work closely with the Engineering team to improve productivity and reduce project downtime

Support site activities, including installations, FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests), and occasional service requirements

Follow all Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) procedures to ensure a safe and compliant workplace

 

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will be willing to learn and grow in an expanding company, taking on new challenges. You will also:

Mechanical fitting qualification or equivalent industry experience (minimum 2 years)

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics

Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, instrumentation, and fabrication processes

Forklift licence and driver’s licence (forklift preferred but not essential)

Problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities

A team-focused, reliable, and proactive approach, with flexibility to travel to site when required
