ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER

 

This role involves applying core environmental engineering principles to assess environmental impacts, support decarbonisation strategies, and implement sustainable engineering solutions across multidisciplinary projects. The position is part of our growing engineering and sustainability advisory team.

Task & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, assess and optimise environmental and resource recovery engineering systems.
  • Conduct environmental impact assessments and emissions modelling.
  • Undertake life cycle assessments (LCA) and carbon footprint analysis.
  • Support feasibility and Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) studies.
  • Assist in developing decarbonisation strategies aligned with net-zero objectives.
  • Analyse environmental performance data and prepare technical reports.
  • Contribute to regulatory compliance and environmental licensing activities.
  • Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Liaise with clients, regulators and stakeholders.

Qualification & experience

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience (minimum 1–3 years) in environmental engineering or environmental consultancy roles.
  • Experience with environmental impact assessment, wastewater or resource recovery systems.
  • Knowledge of emissions assessment methodologies and environmental regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and report writing skills.
  • High level of communication skills in English.

Desirable:

  • Postgraduate qualifications in sustainability, environmental management or business sustainability.
  • Experience with life cycle assessment tools and carbon accounting.
  • Exposure to feasibility or engineering design work.
  • Experience working with international or multicultural teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in German (German-speaking capability desirable).
  • Additional language skills such as Portuguese or Spanish.
