Civil Engineering Draftsperson / Structural Designer

AM Consulting Engineers is a dynamic and closely-knit engineering firm located in the leafy-green suburb of Kingsley (WA). With a strong focus on high-end residential and commercial projects, we are dedicated to delivering innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective engineering solutions to our clients. We've carved a niche for ourselves creating structurally sound designs with common-sense approaches, delivering many of the same services as our larger competitors. 

Our small, friendly team is growing and we are seeking a Junior Structural Designer to join the team on a full-time basis (37.5hr weeks). 

Applicants need to be enthusiastic, dedicated and self motivated with excellent technical, computer and communication skills. Only applicants currently residing in Western Australia with will be considered.

Your Responsibilities 

• Prepare models and detailed structural designs.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders as required.
• Assist in the development of practical design solutions.
• Alterations and improvements on designs when needed. 
• Respond to Technical Queries and provide additional information as required.
• Travel to project sites for inspections.
• Prepare inspection reports related to structural design activities.

Your Skills and Attributes

• Advanced Diploma of Civil and Structural Engineering or in final year of study.
• Proven proficiency in the use of AutoCAD and Revit. 
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office 365 suite
• Ability to converse with internal and external clients both on-site and in the office.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment. 
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work within specified deadlines.
• Industry experience is advantageous
