About the Role

The Civil Engineer will be responsible for providing professional engineering support across precast concrete, civil infrastructure and construction projects. The role will involve reviewing technical drawings, coordinating project requirements, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and Australian Standards, and supporting the successful delivery of projects from planning through to completion.

Task & responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for:• Reviewing and interpreting civil and structural engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
  • Planning, designing and coordinating civil engineering aspects of precast concrete and infrastructure projects.
  • Providing engineering input into the design, manufacture, installation and delivery of precast concrete elements.
  • Preparing and reviewing technical documentation, project reports, schedules, engineering calculations and material data records, ensuring timely submission and approvals.
  • Ensuring project works comply with Australian Standards, engineering specifications, WHS requirements, PERMAcast procedures, client requirements and relevant project quality standards.
  • Liaising with project managers, site supervisors, production teams, subcontractors, consultants, clients and quality personnel to support successful project delivery.
  • Monitoring production, construction and installation activities to ensure works are completed in accordance with approved designs, codes, regulations and quality standards.
  • Identifying technical issues, defects, non-conformances and project risks, and participating in investigations and corrective actions to achieve practical engineering solutions.
  • Supporting quality assurance processes, inspections, testing requirements and contract quality deliverables for precast and civil works.
  • Assisting with project planning, resource allocation, cost control and delivery timelines.
  • Contributing to the development and continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures, engineering processes, production efficiency and project delivery outcomes.

Qualification & experience

Skills and Experience Required

  • Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Relevant experience in civil engineering, construction, infrastructure, precast concrete or structural projects.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, specifications and Australian Standards.
  • Ability to coordinate technical requirements across design, production and site delivery teams.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication and project coordination skills.
  • Ability to work full-time in Perth, Western Australia.
