Early Years Specialist (Allied Health / Early Childhood) – South West Sydney or Ipswich, QLD. Full-time or part-time (4 days per week) with location-based flexibility.

Pay: $80,000 - $100,000 + super (experience-based)

Location: South West Sydney (Liverpool / Campbelltown / Bankstown) or Ipswich (QLD) – choose one of the listed locations to be based from

Tradewind Australia is partnering with a reputable Not For Profit to recruit Early Years Specialists to support children with developmental delays or disabilities and their families through early intervention supports. This is a community-based early intervention role focused on delivering strengths-based, family-centred supports in line with best practice early childhood intervention frameworks.

About the Role

As an Early Years Specialist, you will work directly with young children and their families to deliver early childhood supports that build capability, improve developmental outcomes, and support participation in everyday environments.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will provide assessment, intervention and family-centred support across home, childcare and community settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver strengths-based early childhood intervention supports in line with program guidelines
  • Conduct functional assessments, developmental screening and observations
  • Engage with families as partners to set goals based on their priorities
  • Build capacity of families, carers and professionals to support children in everyday environments
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records in line with NDIS requirements
  • Support families to access and implement NDIS plans where applicable
  • Facilitate parent education programs, playgroups or group-based supports where required
What You'll Bring

Essential

  • Relevant qualification in: Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, Teaching or Social Work
  • Demonstrated experience working with children with developmental delay or disability and families
  • Ability to complete assessments, reports and documentation to a high standard
  • Valid driver’s licence and ability to work across home and community settings
