Killarney Heights High School is a comprehensive co-educational school with a population of 940 students, 43% EALD, located 20 minutes from the Sydney CBD in a bushland setting near the northern beaches of Sydney. 1. Approval to teach Library (Secondary) or currently undertaking, or enrolled in, Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education.
2. Capacity to develop and refine library systems and processes and implement a creative and flexible approach to managing a library that functions as a learning hub to support resource management, connection to the school and critical thinking.
3. Highly developed communication, and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with teachers across all subject areas to enhance student literacy and research skills to maximize student learning.
4. Highly developed organisational skills including the capacity to promote and a manage the Premier’s Reading Challenge and co-ordinate external testing schoolwide.

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
