We are seeking a temporary part-time (0.4FTE) PDHPE Teacher in terms 3 and 4 for long service leave cover.

As for our teachers, they are responsible for the intellectual development and well-being of their students. They do this by developing and delivering academic programs through the Dalton Plan, managing the administration of student assessment and results, and marking / record keeping. Ascham teachers also have a form class, and contribute to the activities of their department and the School as a whole.

We are seeking a temporary part-time (0.4FTE) PDHPE Teacher to teach in our Senior School, and work for terms 3 and 4, 2026. This is to cover the long service leave of another teacher, with the successful candidate joining our highly experienced PDHPE department. The load will be across 3 days, working all day Mondays and Thursdays, and also on Friday afternoons.

What You Will Do
  • Write, implement and evaluate teaching programs
  • Actively participate in the planning of curriculum, writing of programs and resources
  • Use formative and summative assessments to determine student progress
  • Submit marking, reports and results in a timely manner and meets deadlines
  • Mark work for students within one week of submission
  • Monitor and report on the progress of all students
  • Perform other duties as required.
What You Will Bring
  • A tertiary major and accreditation with NESA, as well as experience teaching PDHPE from P to 12
  • The ability to be a dynamic and inspiring teacher who can promote a love of personal development, health and physical education throughout the School
  • Ability to differentiate for a diverse group of non-selective students, and teach to the strengths of girls
  • Demonstrated communication and writing skills
  • Well developed time management and organisational skills
  • Proven ICT skills within an environment where students bring a personal device to school
  • Ability to follow instructions, work unsupervised and be a cooperative team member
  • A valid Working with Children Clearance (WWCC) and First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain).
