Head Teacher (TESOL)

We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Head Teacher (TESOL) to join our team and support excellence in English language teaching and teacher development.

• Teach ELICOS classes with a focus on English language skills using ICT and engaging delivery methods.
• Conduct student assessments and progress reporting.
• Collaborate with the Director of Studies and National ELICOS Head Teacher Team to adapt materials and achieve course goals.
• Provide support and mentoring for ILSC teachers, including new teacher inductions.
• Lead and contribute to session meetings, professional development workshops, and peer observations.
• Maintain and update the ILSC Teacher Guide.
• Represent ILSC at external Special Interest Groups (SIGs) and Communities of Practice (CoPs).
• Stay updated with sector developments to ensure continued teacher and student success.

Skills & Qualifications

• Recognized bachelor’s degree relevant to the role or Cambridge CELTA, Cert IV TESOL, or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years’ teaching experience in quality English language institutions.
• Strong knowledge of TESOL methodology, assessment practices, and program design.
• Experience with online learning systems and multimodal delivery.
• Demonstrated commitment to professional development (self and team).
• Excellent critical thinking, learning strategies, and social perceptiveness.
• Strong communication, time management, and leadership skills.

Work Hours

Full-time position (38 hours)– Monday to Friday, with rostered hours between 8:00 am to 9:30 pm (based on operational requirements).
