The Envirocare team is looking for an energetic and skilled Grounds Maintenance Support Worker who is passionate about great horticulture and supporting others. In this full time role, you will maintain high-quality outdoor environments while mentoring Supported Employees with intellectual disability to build confidence, skills and independence.

What you'll do

  • Maintain lawns, turf, garden beds and open spaces through mowing, pruning, planting, fertilising and general upkeep.
  • Operate and maintain irrigation systems, tools and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Provide patient, hands-on mentoring and coaching to Supported Employees as they perform grounds maintenance tasks.
  • Support on-the-job skill development and help individuals work toward their personal and employment goals.
  • Promote a positive team environment and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Complete documentation, progress notes and safety reporting as required.

What you need

  • Hands-on experience in horticulture or grounds maintenance.
  • Exposure to supporting people with disability bringing patience, empathy and encouragement to every interaction.
  • Relevant horticulture qualifications.
  • Confidence in handling and maintaining small plant and equipment.
  • Chemical handling knowledge (certification desirable).
  • Clear and positive communication skills and a supportive team player.
