About Us: We are a multidisciplinary team providing specialised support to NDIS clients and private young clients. Our approach is trauma-informed and client-centred, ensuring that individuals feel understood and supported. Our clients are mostly families, children and young people.

About the Role: We are seeking an immediate start for two motivated and experienced Youth Workers to join our team of Support Workers, one of which we need to also have Personal Training qualifications to support fitness programs with clients. Looking for experienced individuals also who want to gain experience in working with individuals facing significant mental health challenges and complex needs under the guidance and support of a multidisciplinary expert team. We are specifically looking for Male support workers as requested by our clients on waiting lists, but we also have some casual positions available for female Support Workers. All qualified and experienced persons are welcome to apply for the various positions we have available both part-time and Casual positions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consistent and practical support to the clients at their residence and in the community. Helping young people engage in activities in the community and participate in their choices and direction in their lives. Supporting the family in their desired outcomes.

  • Apply trauma-informed care practices to ensure the client feels secure and understood.

  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support the client's transition out of crisis, where applicable, and support their NDIS goals.

  • Maintain flexibility in scheduling to meet the client’s needs.

  • Provide activity-based supports including Sport, fun activities and hobbies, so please only apply if you also like to play.

  • We need one qualified PT who has experience working with young people, for an immediate casual or Part time start.

Requirements:

  • Current Blue Card and Yellow Card.

  • Right to work in Australia.

  • Availability for long shifts between 9am and 6pm, at least two days a week.

  • Happy to travel, this involves outreach work with around 30 mins - 2 hours travel time each day.

Desirable Qualifications and Skills:

  • First aid and CPR certification.

  • Cert 4 min in a relevant field is required for those with previous Support work experience. And if you are applying for the PT role you must have relevant qualifications and experience.

  • Experience working with clients with young people and families with complex needs.

  • A proactive willingness to learn and adapt to areas outside previous experience, and to work as a team and add to the team culture. This is a transdisciplinary practice which means we collaberate and work together.
