The Role

This is an opportunity for a passionate Maths educator to deliver engaging, rigorous learning programs across Years 7-12, with the ability to teach senior Mathematics viewed favourably. You will contribute to a collaborative faculty culture that values evidence-informed teaching, thoughtful curriculum design and strong student relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality Mathematics programs aligned to the relevant curriculum and senior assessment framework.
Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners, including extension and enrichment as well as targeted intervention.
Use data to monitor progress, provide timely feedback, and support student improvement.
Maintain a positive classroom environment with high expectations for learning, behaviour, and presentation.
Contribute to curriculum planning, moderation, and shared resource development within the faculty.
Engage positively with parents/guardians and contribute to the broader life of the school (pastoral care, co-curricular involvement as suited).

Skills & Experience (Essential)

Queensland Teacher Registration
Demonstrated success teaching Mathematics in a secondary setting.
Strong curriculum knowledge and the ability to design sequenced lessons that build conceptual understanding and procedural fluency.
Effective classroom management and a student-centred approach to learning.
High-quality communication, professionalism, and a collaborative mindset.
2 x References within the last 5 years (most recent and relevant).

Desirable

Ability to teach one or more senior subjects (e.g, Mathematical Methods, Specialist Mathematics, General Mathematics).
Experience supporting extension pathways, competitions, tutoring programs, or enrichment initiatives.
Familiarity with data-informed teaching, common assessment, and moderation processes within a high-performing faculty.
