Are you a patient, warm, and experienced support worker looking for consistent, meaningful casual hours?

We have a wonderful opportunity for a dedicated support worker to join our small team across a number of participants that range from Southern Logan up to Moreton Bay region. This role offers up to 25 hours per week across a mix of morning and afternoon shifts, covering both in-home support and community access, with consistent days and times that you can genuinely plan your life around.

About the role

You'll be working with a number of participants in their homes and out in the community, supporting them with daily routines, personal care, social engagement, and community participation. The focus is on building genuine, trusting relationships — consistency and familiarity matter deeply to our participants and their families.

This role suits you if you:

  • Experience working with Children is highly regarded

  • Have experience supporting older adults, particularly those living with Alzheimer's or dementia

  • Understand the importance of routine and consistency for someone with memory impairment

  • Are calm, adaptable, and able to meet a participant where they are — even when each day looks a little different

  • Are looking for steady casual hours across a small group of participants — not a fulltime position or SIL role

  • Genuinely enjoy building long-term relationships with participants and their families

What the work involves

  • Supporting daily living routines in the home

  • Assisting with personal care and hygiene with dignity and respect

  • Accompanying the participant into the community for social activities, appointments, and outings

  • Providing companionship and meaningful engagement

  • Communicating clearly and regularly with the participant's family and the Supportr team

  • Completing accurate shift notes and documentation

You must hold before starting:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card)

  • Blue Card (Working with Children)

  • First Aid renewed within the last 3 years and CPR within 12 months

  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module

  • Current driver's license and reliable, insured vehicle (essential)

Why Supportr?

We're a small, people-centred organisation — which means you'll be known by name, supported by a team that's genuinely accessible, and matched with clients where we believe you'll thrive. We're honest about what the work involves before you start, and we value workers who want to stay, not just show up.

If you're looking for consistent, rewarding casual work with participants who will genuinely benefit from your presence — we'd love to hear from you.
