Unqualified Support Worker

Bethanie Home Care offer a variety of services to ageing Australians, allowing them to live independently in their own homes throughout Perth, Geraldton and in the South West.

We provide support with day-to-day living including domestic assistance and gardening services, as well as respite services and social support.

We are currently seeking a Unqualified Support Worker to provide services in the Geraldton area.

To be successful in this role, you must be available to commit to:

• Permanent part time employment, working a minimum of 20 hours per week
• Being available between the hours of 08:00am – 16:00 Monday to Friday.

As you will be required to use your own car in this role, we offer a travel allowance per kilometre.

About You

• Previous experience working in an aged care or community care environment will be desirable
• Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations
• Hold a current driver’s licence and have access to a reliable vehicle
• Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to apply for one)

The Role

• Professionally deliver a variety of services including food preparation, cleaning and laundry services, as well as supporting hobbies, interests and leisure activities.
• Ensure all living areas of clients’ homes are kept clean, tidy and safe from hazards.
• Support clients with transport to appointments.
• Provide social support to clients by spending time doing the things they love.
• Prioritise a personal connection with clients, ensuring respect and compassion is shown at all time
