As our highly valued Residential Care Worker, your ability to deliver excellent personal care services to our residents will contribute to making a positive impact in their lives.
We are looking for a reliable part-time team member who can provide availability throughout the week to cover our morning, afternoon and night shift.
You’ll also make an impact by:
Supporting residents to live a life with dignity, choice and independence
Working as part of a diverse group of professionals that includes nurses, allied health, lifestyles and hotel services
Delivering personal care that is connected, personalised and considerate, in line with Helping Hand's service ethos
Maintaining the privacy rights of residents
Participating in learning activities to improve your understanding of resident needs
What you’ll bring
To succeed in this role, you will have:
A Certificate III in Aged Care or studying towards a nursing qualification and have completed the placement stages
Good communication skills, including the ability to speak and write clearly and accurately
A minimum of 6-12 months experience as a care worker (ideally in an aged care setting)
Ability to operate smartphones and apps (such as Microsoft Outlook)
A valid NDIS worker screening check or be willing to obtain one
You’ll stand out from the crowd if you have some of the following:
Previous experience in the aged care sector
The ability to work as part of a team
Demonstrated ability to make decisions, take initiative and work independently
Current First Aid certificate
