Beginnings Early Learners is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our supportive and professional team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging educational programs that support the emotional, social, physical, and intellectual development of young children in a safe and nurturing environment.

Task & responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing engaging educational activities in both indoor and outdoor learning environments.
  • Using a range of teaching resources and play-based learning techniques to support children’s development.
  • Facilitating activities that encourage motor skill development, confidence building, teamwork, and social interaction.
  • Supporting language and communication development through storytelling, music, role-play, rhymes, and group discussions.
  • Monitoring and assessing children’s learning progress, behaviour, and overall wellbeing.
  • Identifying developmental, emotional, health, or learning concerns and reporting observations where appropriate.
  • Maintaining awareness of children’s nutritional, safety, welfare, and health requirements.
  • Building positive relationships with families and discussing children’s progress and development.
  • Participating in parent meetings, team discussions, staff training, and centre events.
  • Contributing to family engagement and community support initiatives.
  • Providing guidance and supervision to student teachers and trainees undertaking placements.
  • Plans, coordinates, and delivers educational activities that support pre-primary children in developing communication, literacy, writing, physical coordination, and social interaction skills. This role requires relevant registration or licensing in accordance with industry regulations.

Qualification & experience

  • Relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field must be completed.
  • 1–3 years of relevant work experience in an early childhood setting.
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
  • Current Working with Children Check and First Aid certification preferred.
