About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Childcare Worker to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting children’s development and wellbeing while ensuring a safe and stimulating learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs in accordance with the EYLF.
- Support children’s physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development through structured and play-based activities.
- Supervise children to ensure their safety, wellbeing, and positive behaviour at all times.
- Assist children with daily routines, including feeding, toileting, dressing, and rest periods.
- Observe and record children’s progress and report on developmental milestones.
- Prepare and maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment, including setting up indoor and outdoor activities.
- Work collaboratively with educators and management to ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and centre policies.
- Communicate effectively with families regarding children’s development and daily activities.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards, including child protection requirements.
Essential Requirements
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates
- Sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Genuine passion for working with children
Desirable
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Previous experience in a childcare or early learning environment
- Knowledge of child development and behaviour management strategies
