Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate Diploma Room Leader to join the team at our Sydney Olympic Park Centre - Betty Cuthbert. Mini Masterminds Sydney Olympic Park (LZ SOP PTY LTD) supports children across all stages of early childhood. This is a hands-on, on the floor role where you will lead a room, mentor educators, implement high quality programs, and support children’s growth, curiosity, and development.

  • Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 per annum plus superannuation
  • Employment Type: Full time

Task & responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a team of educators in your room through on-the-floor mentoring and support.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, holistic learning programs in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
  • Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of every child in your care.
  • Build positive relationships with families and support open communication.
  • Collaborate with the Centre Director and Educational Leader to maintain a high-quality service.

Qualification & experience

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
  • Valid Working with Children Check
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications
  • Child Protection training/certificate
  • At least 1 year of experience as an Educator in an early childhood education and care setting
  • Demonstrated ability in leading a room and mentoring educators 
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
