Early Childhood Educator

Task & responsibilities

• Contribute to the delivery of learning experiences that support children’s growth, development, and wellbeing.
• Encourage children to participate in creative, educational, and play-based activities throughout the day.
• Assist children with everyday routines including meals, rest time, hygiene, transitions, and group activities.
• Create positive interactions that support children’s confidence, communication, independence, and social skills.
• Observe children’s engagement and development and assist with maintaining accurate daily records and observations.
• Support inclusive practices to ensure all children feel welcomed, valued, and involved in the learning environment.
• Build respectful and professional relationships with families, children, and fellow educators.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe environment that promotes children’s health and wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively with team members to support the smooth daily operation of the service.
• Assist with general documentation and other daily responsibilities within the centre.

Qualification & experience

• Minimum 12 months of experience in an Australian early childhood setting.
• Applicants must hold a minimum Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills for documentation and parent interaction.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Passion for supporting children’s learning, wellbeing, and development.
