We are seeking a motivated and experienced Child Care Worker to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will support the delivery of structured early learning programs and contribute to maintaining a safe, engaging, and development-focused environment for children.

Task & responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of materials and equipment for children’s educational and recreational activities
- Support the implementation of structured, play-based learning programs in accordance with approved early childhood frameworks
- Supervise and care for children aged 0–5 years in a safe and supportive environment
- Manage children’s behaviour and support their social and emotional development
- Engage children through reading, storytelling, and interactive learning activities
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor recreational activities
- Maintain and monitor children’s daily routines, including meals, rest, and transitions
- Ensure appropriate hygiene practices and support children’s personal care needs
- Observe and report on children’s development and wellbeing
- Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and centre policies
Qualification & experience
- Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent
- Minimum 1- 2 years of relevant experience in a childcare or early learning setting
- Valid Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Genuine commitment to early childhood education and care

Discovery Tree Early Learning is a family-owned and operated childcare centre catering for up to 202 children aged 6 weeks to 5 years across three services: Discovery Tree ELC, Discovery Tree Kindergarten, and Discovery Tree Springvale. The Caminiti family, with their own young family, actively commits to providing the highest level of care and education. They take a hands-on approach and participate daily in the Centre’s operations.
