ARCHITECTURAL DRAFTSPERSON

Thomas Paul Constructions, a major developer / residential builder based on the NSW Central Coast is seeking a highly driven, self-motivated, confident individual to join our Team.

The successful candidate will hold the below skills and experience:

Skills and Experience

· Preferably a minimum of 5 years experience as a residential draftsperson or building designer.

· Proficient in ArchiCAD software.

· Experience in Single Dwelling, Secondary Dwellings and Duplex developments.

· A good understanding of construction.

· A good understanding of NCC, Council and CDC’s regulations and all other statutory requirements.

· Ability to understand and explain construction drawings.

· Ability to interpret planning documents, maps and schemes for compliance.

· Ability to work independently and a good team player with strong work ethic

· Good attention to detail & problem-solving skills.

· Exceptional time management and prioritisation skills.

· Good communication skills in English – oral and written.

· Good problem solving skills

· Accuracy in drawings to ensure compliance with relevant regulations

Reporting to the Senior Building Designer, your responsibilities will include:

· Preparation of accurate drawings for Construction, Council and CDC submissions, along with all required documentation for these submissions.

· Attend to project through all stages to obtain approval.

· Respond to critical needs as identified by workflow team.

· Ability to liaise with other departments and consultants.

· Check every job prior to issuing to ensure project design standards, client requirements and covenants are adhered to.

· Ensure systems and data recording are continually updated to reflect the jobs progress within our workflow.
