Architectural Draftsperson

Commercial Design Management (CDM) is a full service building design studio based in North Fremantle. We specialise in boutique commercial and large industrial developments.  

We seek to employ a motivated Architectural Draftsperson with a minimum of 12 months professional experience. 

Please note, only applications from those currently living in Western Australia with FULL working rights in Australia will be considered.

THE ROLE

The successful applicant will be responsible for taking projects through all aspects of drafting and documentation. This includes, but is not limited to: 

• Preparation and completion of construction documentation

• Resolution of construction details

• Liaison with consultants and statutory bodies

• Assist in obtaining relevant approvals across the project life cycle

• Support for general contract administration

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS 

• Competent AutoCAD user.

• Relevant tertiary qualification with minimum 12 months professional experience.

• Competent commercial/ industrial project drafting skills are essential.

• Strong construction knowledge and attention to detail.

• Sketch Up and Photoshop skills desirable.

• An understanding of the National Construction Code and Australian Standards.

• Effective communication and time management skills.

• Self-starter and proactive approach with the ability to work autonomously.

• Flexible and comfortable performing a variety of tasks across the project.
