Architectural Draftsperson – Gold Coast (Full-Time)

The successful candidate will prepare detailed drawings and documentation for cladding projects, assist with concept design, and liaise with project managers, builders, and engineers to ensure compliance with Australian building standards and client requirements.

The role is based at our Gold Coast office with occasional site visits.

Task & responsibilities

• Preparing drawings, plans, and 3D models using CAD and other design software.
• Interpreting architectural designs, sketches, and specifications to produce working drawings.
• Assisting with concept designs, layouts, and technical documentation for approvals.
• Ensuring all documentation complies with the National Construction Code, Australian Standards, and local council regulations.
• Liaising with architects, engineers, builders, and clients to resolve design and documentation issues.
• Conducting site visits to measure, assess, and verify project details when required.
• Contributing to design solutions that improve functionality, safety, and aesthetics.

Qualification & experience

• Diploma or higher qualification in Architectural Drafting, Building Design, or related field.
• At least 2 years’ experience as an Architectural Draftsperson or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in CAD and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD).
• Sound knowledge of Australian building codes, standards, and construction methods.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
