About the role

The Advisor – Grants and Tenders plays a critical role in strengthening WMQ’s operational effectiveness by reviewing, evaluating, and enhancing systems, processes, and organisational methods associated with funding, reporting, and service delivery.

This strategic role works across multiple business units to identify process inefficiencies, improve grant and tender workflows, and support evidence-based decision-making to ensure sustainable funding outcomes and organisational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse organisational structures, workflows, and internal processes relating to funding acquisition, reporting, and service delivery 
  • Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and compliance risks, and recommend practical improvements 
  • Develop and implement improved procedures, systems, and reporting frameworks to enhance operational performance 
  • Partner with leadership and service teams to streamline grant and tender lifecycle processes 
  • Monitor and evaluate organisational performance against funding and operational objectives 
  • Conduct research and analysis of external funding environments to inform strategic planning 
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, including documentation of standards, policies, and procedures 
  • Maintain accurate systems and data to support reporting, forecasting, and decision-making 
  • Prepare analytical reports, recommendations, and business cases to support organisational strategy
  • Supporting the implementation of the organisation's Social Impacts and Outcomes agenda, including assisting the General Manager in the design, execution, and evaluation of projects across services and the development of SIO policies, procedures, plans and reports, including impact and change reports.
  • Supporting the implementation of the organisation’s environmental, social and governance agenda, including assisting the General Manager in designing, undertaking, and evaluating strategic environmental, social and governance projects.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • AQF standard Degree level qualification or at least 5 years of highly relevant employment experience to substitute.
