Landscape Gardener Full-Time

SWAN LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE PTY LTD is seeking a suitably skilled Landscape Gardener to support the planning, construction, and establishment of landscaped outdoor environments across residential and commercial projects in Western Australia.

Task & responsibilities

• Interpreting landscape designs, drawings, and specifications to plan site works and construction activities
• Selecting appropriate materials, plants, and landscaping features to meet project requirements
• Preparing sites for landscaping works, including ground preparation, soil conditioning, and levelling
• Establishing planting areas and installing trees, shrubs, hedges, flowers, and ornamental plants
• Constructing and installing landscape features such as paved areas, retaining walls, fencing, garden edging, pathways, and outdoor structures
• Preparing lawn areas through soil preparation, grading, and installation of turf or grass
• Assisting with the layout and installation of irrigation components integrated into landscape works
• Testing and adjusting irrigation systems to ensure effective water distribution
• Coordinating landscape construction tasks to meet quality standards, timelines, and safety requirements
• Maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas in accordance with workplace health and safety procedures

Qualification & experience

• Minimum 1 year of full-time relevant experience in landscape construction or landscape gardening
• Certificate III or higher qualification in Landscape Construction, Horticulture, or a related field (or equivalent overseas qualification)
• Demonstrated experience in landscape installation, including both hardscape and softscape elements
• Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and project documentation
• Strong understanding of planting techniques, turf installation, and site preparation
• Physically capable of performing manual outdoor work in varying conditions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Current Australian C Class Driver’s Licence
• Construction Induction White Card
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
